Member Brad Kleindl Introduced our speaker for the day, Allan Gray, who is a partner with Zhou Brothers Arts Center, an exciting new $20 million arts redevelopment in the 18th and Vine District. Allan has been a respected arts leader and advocate for more than 40 years, holding numerous professional and civic positions across a variety of local, regional, state, and national art platforms. He's also been involved in numerous economic development projects in both Kansas City and Lee's Summit.
Mr. Gray’s lively discussion of the changes that are in progress in the 18th and Vine District, including the total reconstruction of a couple of large buildings to house art exhibits was most interesting. Restoring the 18th and Vine District is creating new opportunities for business and social growth in the area. A recording of his presentation can be found on the Club’s website.
