Our Speaker this week is Mark Hulet, President & CEO, YMCA of Greater Kansas City.

Mark Hulet serves as President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, a role he has held since January 2023. A passionate YMCA leader for more than two decades, Mark is the 11th chief executive to guide the organization since its founding in 1860 - carrying forward a 165-year legacy of community impact and inclusion.
Since beginning his Y journey in 2000, Mark has served in nearly every corner of the organization - from operations and membership to capital development and strategic leadership - earning a reputation as a mission-driven innovator and builder of teams. His career reflects a steadfast commitment to operational excellence, visionary growth and the belief that the Y should be the region’s trusted Center of Community.
Under his leadership, the Y has strengthened its footprint across Greater Kansas City through bold partnerships and transformative projects including the development of the Kirk Family YMCA, the revitalization of the Linwood and Atchison YMCAs, and groundbreaking collaborations with Platte County, North Kansas City and University Health. To date, Mark has led the creation or renewal of sixteen YMCA facilities, helping shape spaces where individuals and families can connect, thrive and belong.
Mark also serves as the host of The Movement - a storytelling podcast powered by the YMCA of Greater Kansas City that amplifies voices of hope, resilience and community change. Through The Movement, Mark spotlights the people and partnerships shaping a stronger Kansas City - from drowning prevention advocates and youth changemakers to civic leaders and everyday heroes - weaving stories that remind listeners of the Y’s enduring purpose: strengthening community for all.
A proud Kansas Citian, Mark finds his greatest joy in family - as dad to Keagan and Killian, and “Papa Mark” to Gracelynn, Raiden, Ruari, and Riot - his daily reminders of why community matters.
